The ADHD Psychologist

Psychological therapy for ADHD adults, teens, and children (11+) across the UK and beyond

Based in Woking, Surrey, UK

Where ADHD adults, teens, and children discover:

> Relief from anxiety and overwhelm

> Deeper self-awareness and self-compassion

> Greater ease in managing emotions

> Renewed trust, confidence, and peace within

> Courage to overcome painful experiences

> Strengthened relationships with self and others

> Freedom to be true to themselves in a more fulfilling life

So you suspect or know you’re ADHD and life feels tough. You’re not just imagining it. Perhaps what you’ve been through and the expectations you face every day feel a lot to manage. They can leave you feeling ashamed and as if you’re always falling short. Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or struggling to come to terms with painful experiences. Call it what you like, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, you’ve had enough. Some part of you knows there's more to life, and a happier more fulfilled 'you' desperate to get out.

Here you'll find a nurturing and empowering space, where together we’ll get to the roots of what’s keeping you stuck. With ADHD and other frameworks in mind, we’ll disentangle the mess of overwhelm to develop a deeper understanding of you, your needs, and your own way forward. Together, we'll discover who you were always meant to be, with greater clarity, ease, and connection in life.

The ADHD Psychologist at Wild Hearts Counselling Psychology

Hi there, I’m Dr Nicola Ferreira.

I’m a big-hearted and deep-thinking Counselling Psychologist. I help those who suspect or know they’re ADHD, or similarly neurodivergent, and are in need of a helping hand to go from surviving to thriving in their wellbeing.

Over the last 16 years working in psychology and psychotherapy, I've helped many to feel better in themselves, and find more fulfilment in their lives and relationships. I also bring my background in neuropsychology (understanding the brain) to helping ADHDers through therapy.

Although I’ve learned much over the years, you’re still the expert on you and your personal experiences in life. I’m here to help you share and make sense of your story to overcome what’s holding you back. Together, we’ll find your way forward.

Getting started with ADHD therapy can feel daunting. Here’s my three-step plan to help you know what to expect if you’d like to book a consultation session.

  • adhd-in-women

    Step 1

Register with the Client Portal in just a few clicks to check my availability and book your consultation session.

  • adhd-support

    Step 2

You’ll receive a welcome email with further guidance, and a short enquiry form to help you prepare for your consultation session.

  • adhd-counselling

    Step 3

We’ll talk through what’s brought you to therapy and what you’re looking for. With this in mind, I’ll let you know more about how I work and what I can offer you in your personal circumstances.

If we agree to work together, we can talk further to figure out starting regular sessions at a time that suits you.

Many find that within a session or two they begin to experience some initial relief, and a taste of hope and change to come.

It’s all in your hands. Following our consultation session you’re welcome to take the time you need to consider whether you’d like to book in for weekly sessions, where we can get to the roots of what’s troubling you, and find your way through it together.
